Sub-users
Delete a sub-user
Remove a sub-user and all of its access for good.
Deleting a sub-user removes it and all its access. This cannot be undone. To block it only for a while, suspend it instead.
Choose Delete
In the sidebar, open Subusers. In the sub-user's row menu (⋮), select Delete. Or open the sub-user's page and select Delete Subuser under Danger Zone.
Confirm
In the Delete Subuser dialog, type the sub-user's username exactly, then select Delete Subuser.
What happens
- The sub-user is signed out and can no longer sign in.
- Its access keys in all regions are deleted. Apps using them stop working at once.
- All its bucket access rules and policies are removed.
- It disappears from the Sub-user Management list, which frees one place towards your sub-user limit.
To give the same person access again later, create a new sub-user.
