# Subuser Portal

What a Programmatic + Dashboard subuser sees when they sign in

A subuser created with **Programmatic + Dashboard access** gets their own scaled-down version of the Zata.ai dashboard, scoped to only the buckets, regions, and permissions their account owner has granted them. They sign in at the same login page just swtiching the login mode as subuser using the credentials they set when [accepting their invitation](/subusers/managing-invitations.md).

Programmatic-only subusers have no dashboard login and don't see any of this — they only ever use their access keys directly with S3-compatible tools.

The subuser portal's navigation only shows the sections below plus a basic Account Settings page — no billing, and no way to invite or manage other subusers. Anything a subuser is missing (a bucket, a region, a permission) has to be granted by the account owner from the main dashboard.

Once signed in, a subuser sees:

* [Dashboard](/subusers/subuser-portal/dashboard.md) — summary tiles, region health, and their buckets at a glance.
* [Buckets](/subusers/subuser-portal/buckets.md) — the buckets shared with them.
* [Media (Preview Manager)](/subusers/subuser-portal/preview-manager.md) — browsing and previewing files.
* [Access Keys](/subusers/subuser-portal/access-keys.md) — their own key(s), with rotate support.
* [Policies](/subusers/subuser-portal/policies.md) — the access rules granted to them, plus requesting more.
