# Connect CrossFTP with Zata.ai

### Introduction <a href="#introduction" id="introduction"></a>

**CrossFTP** is a versatile FTP and cloud storage client that supports S3-compatible endpoints such as **Zata.ai**. You can use it to upload, download, and manage files in cloud storage just like with FTP servers.

### Step-by-Step Setup <a href="#step-by-step-setup" id="step-by-step-setup"></a>

### Launch CrossFTP

Open CrossFTP after installation.

### Open Site Manager

* Navigate to **Sites → Site Manager** from the main menu.
* Click **New Site** to create a new profile.

### Configure S3 Connection

* Set the **Protocol** dropdown to **S3/HTTPS**.

* Fill in these details:
  * **Host:** `idr01.zata.ai`
  * **Access ID:** Your Zata Access Key ID
  * **Secret Key:** Your Zata Secret Access Key
  * **Port:** `443` (default HTTPS port)
  * **Region:** `CentralIndia` (or as provided by Zata.ai)
* Optionally, specify a **Default Bucket name** to connect to automatically.

### Advanced & Security Settings

* Ensure **Use SSL** is enabled for secure transfer.
* Adjust additional settings as needed (proxy, firewall, etc.).

### Connect and Manage Files

* Click **Connect**.

* On successful connection, your **buckets and folders** will appear in the right-hand pane.
* Drag and drop files, or use the context menu to upload/download/manage your data.

### Tips & Troubleshooting <a href="#tips--troubleshooting" id="tips--troubleshooting"></a>

* Always use the correct **region endpoint** and ensure bucket names are accurate.
* Use the Site Manager’s **Quick History** to reconnect to recent connections easily.
* Check log messages at the bottom for connection status and errors.
* For large files or many objects, use batch upload/download features for efficiency.
