# Connect WinSCP with Zata.ai

#### WinSCP Overview

WinSCP is a free and open-source SFTP, FTP, WebDAV, Amazon S3, and SCP client for Microsoft Windows. Its primary function is to transfer files between a local and a remote computer securely. In addition to its basic file transfer capabilities, WinSCP provides scripting and basic file management functionality.

### Launch WinSCP

Open the WinSCP application on your computer.

On the login windows, click on the New site.

### Select S3 Protocol

From the File protocol dropdown, select Amazon S3.

The login screen will now adjust for S3 inputs.

### Enter Zata.ai S3 Details

Fill in the following details:

Host name: idr01.zata.ai (Central India region endpoint – replace if using another region)

Port number: 443

Access key ID: Your Zata.ai Access Key

Secret access key: Your Zata.ai Secret Key

### Save the Connection

Click Save to store the session for future use.

Optionally, check Save password for convenience.

#### Connect and Transfer Files

Click Login.

You will now see your Zata.ai bucket(s) listed.

You can drag-and-drop files between your PC and Zata.ai storage, just like an FTP/SFTP server.
